The Miracle Of a Nice Coup of Coffee

Every morning is a new adventure. Is the magical hour of the day, when your eyes are dancing in their sleep and your ideas maintain those cloudy thoughts of morpheus shapes. Our movements are almost mechanical at that hour, 7 AM is like a bliss. There is no better way to face the Canadian citizenship test than with a great breakfast. Is the little gift we give ourselves every morning with that coup of coffee. The moment when time stops and we start thinking what we want to become, what we already have and what is next to come. Those mornings when you are challenged by a test are the most difficult. You start wishing the day was over, the coming of the next coup of coffee, the one that follows dinner just after you told your family how everything went fine. The closed deal.

And that’s when the miracle happens milk and toast and honey, coffee, beagle and marmalade. The breakfast starts with splendor and might. The moment of the day that can really ease your worries. Sip by sip you imagine the success, you see yourself entering that room, going through the questions as fast as an eagle. Standing up and leaving with a happy face. What would you do after the test?, you start dreaming about the hot dog you will be ordering in the near by park. Maybe you asked the day off at work, and the test only took you half morning. This is a treat for yourself, you are about to become a Canadian citizen in short and you have a whole day to enjoy.

Take it like I’m your best friend urging you to have a great breakfast before the test. It is clinical knowledge that a delightful morning gives you the energy to face intellectual challenges. So what are you going to bake for that special day? Don’t forget that you are about to change forever you will become a Canadian in short and the citizenship test is one of the last steps you need to take.

Banana bread with honey, blueberry muffins with cream, vegetable omelet, pancakes with raspberry syrup you choose. Million options at a glance but make it special.

Wishing you a great start on that challenging day and a terrific breakfast! Success is in your hands…

My mom used to bake me cinnamon rolls for special ocations. There was one time she made Irish coffee with cinnamon rolls, I was giving my premed exam back home, so she wanted to give me strength for the day!
Irish coffee is like this> You grab an orange and stick cloves to it, then you make really strong filter coffee and you pore it over the orange. Finally you add some whiskey to it. and leave it rest 20 minutes. It bust you up immediately.

    Enjoy it!

I don’t know if taking a coffee prior sitting for the test is a good idea! I heard that before you have the exam, you have a blood test and if they find something like caffeine or drugs you cannot take it. I don’t know if it’s true or not, but I would do it just in case. Anka

wHAT PLANET ARE YOU FROM ANKA!??!?! How much do you thing a blood or urine test takes? Would you think Canada would spend that much money to have a medical department and a lab at the citizenship center? Would YOU go to a test at 7 am and wait for 8 or 9 hours to get into the actual test after your blood has been tested?

Or lets go back to basics. CAFFEINE IS NOT A DRUG!

I just made a simple question ‘cause I was confused and all I got was a silly person insulting me for thinking that caffeine is a drug. I was respectful with my question, so I guess everybody should react the same way…and “going back to basics” (as you said), isn’t RESPECT one of the main values a canadian citizen should have? Obviously you are no one of them…
